This picture is from Nuwera Eliya, a small city in Sri Lanka, kind of like a hill station. Nuwera Eliya has a lot of tea estates around and a huge lake, Lake Gregory. This is from Lake Gregory. The day we arrived, we went to the lake and it was quite chilly that evening. Walking around I saw these small houses on top of a hill top and for some reason kind of reminded me of Italy’s Amalfi Coast, something I have only seen in pictures.
This in my mind is Sri Lanka’s version of Amalfi Coast.
